Seminar completion on training volunteers in disaster management.

Epimorfotiki Kilkis LLC and the University of Macedonia proudly announce the successful completion of the free online training seminar for volunteers in disaster management. This seminar was conducted within the framework of the project titled 'Integrated framework for the management of natural hazards based on Civil Protection VOLUnteers towards reinforcing cross-border readiness, prevention, response, and improvement of resilience,' acronymed as VOLUnteer.

The seminar took place from November 6th to 8th, 2023, and included extensive discussions and educational activities. More than 130 participating volunteers had the opportunity to delve into the definitions, key concepts, and consequences of natural disasters. Simultaneously, they explored the role of volunteers in disaster management, familiarizing themselves with organizations dedicated to the theme, while focusing on addressing critical situations through proper preparation. Additionally, they focused on emergency response techniques following incidents such as fires, floods, earthquakes, etc., thus enhancing their readiness for effective action in emergency situations.

By completing the educational program, participating volunteers enhanced their knowledge and skills for the effective response and management of disasters, thereby contributing to the strengthening of cross-border cooperation in the fields of prevention and response to natural disasters.

Epimorfotiki Kilkis LLC and the University of Macedonia express their gratitude to all participants and extend their deep appreciation for the dedication and interest demonstrated during the seminar.
